After retirement, Elizabeth Patrick
was finally able to pursue an interest in art. This has proven
to be very rewarding both in friendships and achievements.
While working in most mediums,
Elizabeth's preference are oils and acrylics. She has taken
many courses with Visual Arts Brampton and Sheridan College.
Mike Adamovitch the teacher at Knightsbridge Seniors Centre
has also been informative and inspirational.
She
says that Visual Arts Brampton has increased her desire to strive
and improve; as a result she has received many awards, including
the Gold Award in the Visual Arts Brampton Juried Show (2001),
and at the Brampton Fall Fair, as well as others.
Elizabeth prefers to paint
unique faces, where the subjects portray a story through the
expression in their eyes.
Elizabeth's most valued recognition
comes through the feedback she receives from her fellow artists.
