Fans of Between Friends are invited to see
the popular comic strip on display this November. The first
ever exhibit of creator Sandra Bell-Lundy's original artworks
will be on display at Artway Gallery in Brampton,
Ontario just west of Toronto, from October 31 to November
27, 2009.
Visual Arts Brampton is also hosting a meet-and-greet
event with Sandra, on Saturday, November 14, 2009.
Between Friends is celebrated for its contemporary
portrayal of three forty-something women friends, their
essence and angst. Between Friends runs internationally
in over 150 newspapers, through King Features Syndicate.
The comic is seen locally in the Toronto Star.
Sandra has selected favourite moments from Susan, Kim,
and Maeve's lives, along with serious, relevant storylines
about fertility, adoption, and domestic violence.
Brampton
met Sandra, November 14
Sandra Bell-Lundy visited Shoppers World Brampton on Saturday,
November 14, 2009, to share her passion for cartooning with
the audience. Beginning with a presentation, continuing
with an active Q&A session, and finishing with a book
signing, the event was attended by aspiring young cartoonists
from Brampton, and fans from across the GTA.
Many thanks to event supporters Shoppers World Brampton,
the mall's location of Staples-Business Depot, and
the Peel Heritage Complex.
