| Two noted Toronto-area comic
artists, and one self-published newcomer are on display this
month at Artway Gallery in Shoppers World. Marcio Takara
(The Incredibles: The Family Matters), Alex Milne
(Transformers Armada: More Than Meets the Eye), and
C. A. Seaman (Sargasso) are our three featured
artists, each exemplifying different styles of cartoon art. |

| Transformers comic book artist
Alex Milne, whose credits include the official adaptation
of the 2007 movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,
and the continuing title Transformers Armada: More Than
Meets the Eye. |
C. A. Seaman is exhibiting art
from his multi-part serial with illustrations, Sargasso.
He has also published the book Tokyo- City on the Edge,
a photographic essay, as well as two books on Nova Scotia.
He branched out into manga in 1999, creating the Kaiten
Angels for a VAB publication. |
Marcio Takara is currently drawing
for The Incredibles: The Family Matters, a BOOM! Kids
comic book based on the Disney-PIXAR movie. |

Alex Milne and Marcio Takara's titles on display are available
for purchase at Stadium Comics.
Located in Shoppers World near Staples
and Oceans, noted comic book artists regularly attend Stadium
Comics' events, sketching on site and signing copies of
their issues.

About Artway Gallery
A community project of Visual Arts Brampton (VAB), Artway
Gallery features monthly exhibits of its members and other
area artists. VAB started Artway Gallery in 1997, moving the space
to Shoppers World Brampton in 2005. Visual Arts Brampton is a
23-year-old non-profit group, which also runs youth art space
Fridge Front Gallery and the World Art Gallery, featuring miniatures.
Previous exhibits at Artway Gallery have featured mainly comic
strip artists like Lynn Johnston (For Better or For Worse),
Sandra Bell-Lundy (Between Friends), and Steve Nease (Pud).
