Have you ever wondered what it feels like to be able to draw yourself, or people you admire on a piece of paper? This six week workshop will teach students how to draw and be able to portray various expressions of the face using pencil and coloured pencil. Each of the two hour sessions will cover topics that will help students understand every part of the human face and will culminate with the student completing a self portrait. No previous drawing experience is required to take this workshop, all skill levels are welcome.

What Students will Learn
- Proportions of the head and eyes
- Drawing the nose, ears and lips
- Shading using pencil or coloured pencil
- Basic framework of a portrait
- Drawing a self portrait from start to finish
About the Instructor
Seema Marwah, B.A., B.Ed., M.A. OCT
Seema is an India based Visual Arts teacher having taught children of all ages for more than 20 years. She completed her masters in Visual Arts and masters in English from CCS University, India. Her forte is oil painting, watercolours and clay modelling. Seema believes art brings out her true self and she is extremely passionate about her paintings. She has been awarded as the "Best Teacher" for three consecutive years at Sophia Girls’ School, India. Currently, Seema is working on establishing an event management company of her own and works as a freelance painter.
We ask that students bring a sketchbook, one HB and one 2B pencil, and an eraser. All other materials will be provided.
