Join comic artist Jeff Baker for an exciting workshop that focuses on character design and how to tell a compelling or funny story in three or more comic strip panels. Students will learn techniques required to create a successful comic strip such as drawing, inking, page layout and writing. At the end of the workshop the students work is compiled into a comic book they can take home with them.
No previous drawing skills are required to attend this workshop, and it is open to all ages from 8 years and up. All materials will be provided.
Dates: Sunday Afternoons - April 2 to June 4, 2017 (No class on April 16 & May 14)

About the Instructor
Jeff Baker has been a child and youth worker in Peel region for the last 5 years. He lives with his wife and 3 kids in downtown Brampton where he cultivates his talents for both art and youth work. Somewhere along the way he figured out how to blend his love of comics with his passion for working with kids. Jeff does comic art lessons and workshops with various youth organizations around the GTA. He has been published in various magazines and websites and self publishes a weekly autobiographical comic strip called Two by Two on the web. All materials are included in the workshop fee and will be provided by the instructor.
