Painter, graphic designer, dramatic artist and cartoonist Ramesh
Halari presents Glory of Gujarat at the Visual Arts
Brampton Artway Invitational Gallery in Shoppers World from October
2 to 16.
Both his works on canvas and his digital creations have a beauty,
strong sense of design and great use of colour and this is why
Visual Arts Brampton president Keith Moreau said yes
to Rameshs request for an exhibit in Brampton.
In his show catalogue Ramesh lists nine solo painting exhibits
from 2001to 2009. Participation in group shows from 2004 to 2008
list eight in number.
Since 1982, Ramesh has run his own design studio Creative
Touch where he provides professional services for six magazines
and eight publishers. He also worked for a year as a textile artist
for Calico Mills, and as an artist for various daily, weekly and
monthly publications.
In 1990 Ramesh received the Artist of the Decade
award from the All India Astrologers Federation, in 2004
the Kalaratna Award- All India Zalawadi Sai Suthar
Parishad and in 2010 Gujarat Rajya Kalashikshak Sangh.
In 2009 Ramesh conducted an art workshop for M. P. Arts College
for Girls, Ahmedabad, India.
Ramesh enjoys his professional experiences but it is his painting,
acting and drawing that makes him internally happy. He finds the
creative process can be almost entrancing and is often amazed
at how time has gone by. He has appeared in various drama and
comedy TV serials. As busy as he is, Ramesh is also currently
a cartoonist, film writer, and spiritual writer in Namaste
Gujarat Fortnighly.
Ramesh is President of KASAB Art & Cultural Trust, editor
KASAB Fortnightly Gujarati and art director of Venorieca Art Foundation.
