Clay is a wonderful tactile medium used in the hand building of pottery. Students will be guided through projects that focus their inner creativity and explore the possibilities of creating three dimensional objects while learning about structures, shape and form.
In this four-week workshop for ages 9-12, students will learn the basic methods of hand building with clay: coiling, pinching, building with slabs and sculpting. Students will also glaze their projects for stunning results.
Parents are welcome to accompany their child to participate in the creation of projects for an additional fee.

About the Instructors
Sneh started working with ceramics in 2011 as a hobbyist and in 2015 began to assist her teacher with instructing kids and seniors. She is experienced in handing many kinds of clay and teaching techniques such as: the coil method, slab work, wheel throwing and sculpting. Sneh has also worked with different types of kilns. In Malaysia and Singapore, she was an active participant and team leader for wood-firing events. Sneh is most pleased with the multiple charity exhibits she held in Southeast Asia to raise funds for hospitals.
All materials are included in the workshop fee and will be provided.
