Until Oct. 25 at the Bramalea City Centre’s Artway Gallery, Visual Arts Brampton will host an exhibition and silent auction of a special collection of floral works by its members.
The pieces are part of the VAB’s 16-month calendar designed to mark Brampton’s sesquicentennial anniversary, celebrating 150 years as ‘Flowertown’.
The official launch will be held at the gallery this Friday at 7 p.m.
Participating in the project are Bridget Aubé-Doughty, Carol Biberstein, Maria Carosi, Chandra de Silva, Bonnie Eckelson, Betty Evans, Marguerite Finlayson, Keith Moreau, Mary Noble, Elizabeth Patrick, Gerri Roy, Olga Rudge, Leo Salvador, Eileen Sweeney, Marlene Thurston and Steve Wilson.
VAB will be selling calendars, $10, and taking bids at Artway on Oct. 5, 6, 18 to 20, during regular mall hours. Proceeds will help fund art programming at the VAB studio.
