VAB's juried youth show now accepting work

Youth are invited to submit work for Visual Arts Brampton’s annual Images on Paper Matted Juried Show. The show is open to area students who are currently attending Grades 1 to OAC.

The exhibit will run from Saturday, March 29, to Friday, April 25, at the Artway gallery at Bramalea City Centre.

Matted entries must be submitted no later than Sunday, March 23, to Curry’s Brampton, 255 Queen St. E., during regular store hours. For store information, call 905-455-1911.

Any form of original drawing, painting, printmaking, artistic photography (traditional or digital), original digital imaging or animation cel is acceptable, as long as the final product is on paper. Mat or mount pieces, but do not frame them. Clearly label all submissions on the back, with name, address, phone number, the title of the piece and the medium.

Mounted work must be no larger that 14 by 11 inches horizontally, or 11 by 14 inches vertically.

The entry fee for non-VAB members is $5 for one to three entries, $10 for four to six entries and $15 for seven to nine entries. There is no set limit to number of entries.

Prizes include Curry’s gift certificates.
