Remembering Marlene Thurston
Autumn 2001 issue, VAB Expressions (now Creative Urges)
For nearly 11 years, Marlene Thurston was an active member of Visual Arts Brampton, participating in both portrait and still life sessions. Marlene’s artwork was shown at many of the Artway exhibits.

Her artwork was published in the ABC Fun Things Book’s letter “A” illustration; her A Touch of Sunshine was March’s artwork in the 2002-2003 Floral Calendar.

From the 19th to the 27th of June, VAB’s Artway staged a tribute exhibit to Marlene. Half of the display cases showed her diverse works during the last week of the scheduled Drawing and Black and White show.

Her enthusiasm and contagious laughter is missed by many.
