Founded in 1986, Visual Arts Brampton (VAB) is a not-for-profit visual arts organization that fosters artistic expression through education, exhibitions and community outreach. Serving the cultural mosaic of Brampton and the surrounding area, VAB provides a welcoming, supportive and inclusive environment for individuals of all ages, skill levels and abilities.

VAB offers a broad range of educational programming including year-round weekly art classes for kids and teens, full-day summer and spring break camps, adult art classes in a variety of media, and drop-in open studio, portrait and life drawing sessions. VAB’s team of experienced artist instructors are committed to the success of students by emphasising the importance of progress and growth. At VAB, the artistic journey is just as essential as the finished product.

VAB presents several exhibitions by member artists throughout the year at various locations in the city as well as ongoing exhibits in its primary gallery space, Artway Gallery. Located in Shoppers World Brampton, Artway Gallery provides exhibit space and mentorship for emerging artists, guiding them through the process of preparing and executing an exhibition.

VAB’s commitment to the community includes offering several outreach programs designed to engage, inspire and ensure art is accessible to everyone. Art Forward and the semi-annual Children’s Scholarship programs assist individuals and families who may face financial barriers in accessing art materials and education. Other outreach programs VAB offers are geared towards delivering education programs to community groups and schools.

VAB’s Studio is conveniently located on the corner of Steeles Avenue and Main Street and boasts over 2,000 square feet of creative spaces.

Whether you are looking to develop your artistic skills, create with like-minded individuals, or exhibit your artwork – we welcome you to join the Visual Arts Brampton community.
