Visual Arts Brampton's Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Wednesday April 27th, 2016 at 6:30pm in the studio. All VAB members are encouraged to attend.

Nominations are being accepted for 12 positions on the board of directors including the executive positions of President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary.

Local artist Rahul Jain has created some tutorials for those looking to get started with drawing in pen and ink. The tutorials begin with step by step instructions on how to draw several elements of nature such as tree trunks and foliage and then move on to combine the individual elements into a landscape drawing. Templates can be downloaded and printed to use as a guide to learn and improve techniques.

Our students and volunteers were busy little elves this past month preparing for the annual Shoppers World Brampton Santa Claus parade. The VAB Holiday Express train was constructed and decorated by our Arts & Crafts for Kids classes with self portraits in the windows and holiday themed cut-outs all over. Our students and volunteers enjoyed walking the parade route and handing out candy canes to the spectators. Thanks to everyone who participated, and thank you to Shoppers World Brampton for organizing the parade!
