Abstract art is fundamentally about freedom – one that fuels the artist’s creative spirit and sparks their imagination. Learning to paint in an abstract style will start you on an artistic journey that is sure to unleash your creativity and help make your artwork freer, more expressive and highly personal.
This project-based workshop introduces you to a simple, liberating approach to understanding and creating abstract paintings with acrylics. Different styles of abstraction in art will be explored by planning, designing and completing three individual paintings over six sessions.
This workshop is for any artist looking to try a new, expressive and creative way to paint. However, students should have a working familiarity with acrylic paints and mediums.
