The basics of a realistic landscape painting is covered in this four-session workshop oil painting class. Emphasis will be on learning how to create depth in a painting through the understand of how colours are affected by “linear” and 'aerial” perspective. We will use a limited palette consisting of the three primary colors plus white to complete our landscape. This will allow student learn to mix colors and basic color theory rather than using pre-mixed colors directly from the tube. Solvent-free Winsor & Newton Artisan water-mixable oil colours will be applied to create a beautiful landscape painting on a single primed 8 x 10 stretched canvas.
