About the Instructor
Joan A Brown
From as far back as she can remember, Joan has had a passion for any activity that allowed her to create or bring something new into existence. She believes this natural desire to create is why she received honor marks in grade-school. Joan's favourite subjects were ones where she could create something new.
On her ninth or tenth birthday, she was presented with a small box of oil paints. Joan began teaching herself how to paint, practicing every chance she could, perfecting her skills in the process. Over the decades, my artwork has developed into a visual expression of how she identifies with the world around her, mainly referencing the scenes in nature.
Advanced registration is recommended for workshops. Registration closes Monday July 1, 2019.
