VAB Board of Directors update, 2003-2004 annum

June, 2003, VAB Expressions (now Creative Urges)

Long-time board member Eileen Sweeney has stepped down from our Board of Directors. After getting a job at the head office of Curry's Artist Supplies, which would regularly prevent her attendance at the monthly meetings, she felt she should resign from her position.

President Keith Moreau has got to know new Crea8tif member Luis Barrios fairly well over the past couple of months. Because of this, Keith decided to ask Luis to join the board. Interested, he accepted and was given the position at this month's early meeting.

The board now stands as follows:

VAB Board of Directors
2003-2004
17th Annum

President
(Artway Representative, Youth Representative, Life Drawing Representative, Crea8tif Representative, Newsletter Co-Editor, Event Co-Chair)
Keith Moreau
Vice-President
(Secretary, Membership Director, Technology Advisor)
Peter Scott
Treasurer
Pat Wepf
Grant Chair, Event Co-Chair
Mary Noble
Open Studio Co-representatives
Gerri Roy
Margaret Pardy
  Janice Balesic
  Luis Barrios
(Added mid-year as a replacement to Eileen Sweeney)

This resignation follows after Muriel Gray cessation with the board at the end of the last annum of operation. Both former board members are still active within other functions of the group, and other creative endeavours.

  • Keith Moreau, president
