Is your child budding with enthuasiasm for creating arts and crafts? Let them embrace their creativity side with year-long youth art classes at Visual Arts Brampton Creative Studios.

Throughout the year, the essential concepts of art are introduced to students, through understandable terms and projects which apply their newfound knowledge practically and creatively. Students are introduced to diverse mediums within the realms of drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, sculpture, and crafts. Students engage their apt and burgeoning curiousities within these different worlds of creativity, injecting their own personal spark to the project.

Classes are led by two talented instructors, both of whom connect excellently with the students. The main teacher is a third year university art student, who comes to Visual Arts Brampton with a stellar recommendation from a former student of VAB's teen program. Her assistant, Emily, who is enrolled at Mayfield School of the Arts, won five gold medallions from the VAB youth program (as well as our only Platinum award ever), and has won an award from an arts contest that received national participation.

22-year-old community art group Visual Arts Brampton has offered youth classes since 1997; this age bracket is in its second year.

Classes run most Saturdays from January to mid-December, only taking selected civic holiday weekends off. In total, parents can expect at least 45 classes for the extremely reasonable price of $250 for the entire year, which includes most materials.* Each class is 1½ hours long, enough time to ensure they can comfortably complete the projects, without draining them of their vim and vigour.

* In terms of materials, we ask students bring their own pencils and white rubber erasers.
