Visual Arts Brampton
This fun two-week project is using faux tin (40 gauge) to make our design. This is a great kitchen art idea for yourself or do it with a friend. You will create from a rooster template design or bring your own idea to the table and create this easy yet effective art piece. Simple designs will create highlights whereas more details will reveal underlying layers. Your choice, your design.
Students will learn to emboss with simplicity or more complexity depending on their choice for the end product. They will learn to subtract or 'rag off' their art piece to create simple highlights and reveal underlying layers for added depth.

About the Instructor
Colleen Dee, BFA
Colleen is a lover of all creative arts. She earned her BFA degree in Montreal, Quebec, and had a corporate career as a graphic designer, creative director and marketing manager. After that phase she travelled, lived and worked in Vietnam and Cambodia for a number of years teaching English and art to children and adults in the profit and nonprofit sectors.
Well versed in many art mediums including papermaking, sculpting, printmaking drawing, painting and photo-art. "I love creative expression in so many art forms. I particularly enjoy experimenting with mix-media and using different materials and techniques to create an aesthetic piece whether it has a purpose or not." After returning to Canada she continues to engross herself teaching art and workshops to a variety of age groups.
