Our Portraits Sessions provide artists the opportunity to draw, sketch or paint from a model holding an extended pose. The models are both professional and amateur, and of various ages, genders and nationalities. Subjects are on a raised model platform with proper spotlighting to create depth. Artists are welcome to work in the medium of their choice.
There is a rotation of twenty minutes creative time and five minute breaks.
These sessions are perfect for artists looking to practice their drawing skills and are also ideal for students who want to add a portrait component to their portfolios for post-secondary visual arts/animation programs.
There is no formal instruction provided during these sessions.
New: We ask that all participants register in advance for our portrait sessions by noon the Monday before. Sessions that do not meet a minimum number of participants by this time may be cancelled. Sessions are non-refundable, unless cancelled due to low enrollment.
