Sara-Sati Ramprashad

Sara-Sati is a self-taught portrait artist from Brampton, whose lifelong goal is to master the art of hyper-realism. Her style has been evolving from realism to experimental sketch-like portraits that explore colour and texture, and aim to capture the essence of her subject. She is currently enrolled in Sheridan College for Visual and Creative Arts.

"I taught myself how to draw portraits a few weeks after my first surgery correcting a chest condition I was born with. I started drawing faces from magazines to learn and practice this new art and pass my time. I did a little doodle almost every single day during my recovery, and was delighted every time I drew to see what putting the pencil to paper revealed. With each drawing I was getting closer and closer to capturing likeness and sharpening my observational skills. Details and realism became an obsession of mine — I wanted to make my drawings look so real that you feel like you could reach out and touch them. Five years later and I think I’m on my way to getting there."

Roxanne Stamp

Roxanne has always been a lover of art and nature from a very young age.. and it runs in the Family! Originally from Newfoundland, Roxanne loves the ocean she grew up next to, and all of what nature has to offer, and incorporates those in her work.

As an intuitive , expressive Artist, who loves to experiment, she creates beauty, with vibrant colors, and plays with different textures, tools and techniques, whether it's abstract, fluid, pours, etc, or just a simple bird drawing. It is very therapeutic and relaxing.

"Having an ocean painting on my wall, is like having a little piece of home with me" - RS

"People need art in their houses. They don't need Bed, Bath and Beyond dentist-office art. They need weird stuff" - Ezra Croft-Art Show Producer

Art Refined Teen Students

Students from Visual Arts Brampton’s Art Refined for Teens classes proudly present their self-portraits in acrylic on canvas done in Fauvism style. Fauvism emphasizes painterly qualities and strong color over the representational or realistic values retained by Impressionism.

Designed for the emerging artist, our Art Refined class will stimulate your teen's creative abilities through focused, in depth art instruction. In this weekly class, students learn and shape their skills in a diverse range of fine arts mediums such as: drawing, acrylic painting, watercolour painting, pastels, sculpture, mixed media, print making, and digital media. Many of our students use their experience from our classes to pursue further arts education at college and university visual art programs. We take great pride in the accomplishments of our students.

Antonella Lisanti

I have gratefully been a stay at home mom for 20 years. My sons are my dream come true! I struggle with bi-polar and I have discovered painting in the last few years. I love it. It really helps me relax and feel productive. My teacher calls me a colourist/artist. I hope for people to be more aware of bi-polar and talk as much as possible about it.
